Awards were given to:

The person to traveled farthest to the reunion who again went to John Sandwick who flew in from Switzerland. Unfortunately he wasn’t able to bring this beautiful wife Svetlana or his adorable 2 year old daughter. David Weikel was also awarded a bottle of wine for flying in from the west coast and an honorable mention went to Steve Bares who came in from Tennessee.

Most companies worked for since high school went to – Mark Finders who has worked for 23 companies and actually works a building away from me at Intel right now. I guess a rolling stone gathers no moss!

Most countries and states lived in went to – Howard Cespedes who now entertains crowds in San Francisco in a show call Tribute to the Rat Pack. We also heard Howard’s mother passes away within the last week and our condolences go out to him. On a sunnier note he and Cindy Sphor were married just a year ago. It only took 30 years, but, Cindy always had a crush on Howard!!

Most unusual job is usually won by Michael Gough who does voice overs in the entertainment industry and gave a sample of this Shrek talent, but, this time the clear owner of this award went to Vickie Cramer who has worked as a Phone Sex Operator! I asked that folks who wanted to sample her voice do so in the hall outside.

Most famous person ever met went to Michael Gough who because of his entertainment ties has met , James Earl Jones, Elizabeth Taylor, Magic Johnson, Cameron Diaz. I saw James Garner in JFK once! I guess you have to leave the hills to see famous people.

Most years in school since high school – Jennie Steinke tried to win this one with 30 of teaching, but, the award went to Jeff Yost who has spent a whopping 17 years in higher education since high school and has 3 masters. I actually came in 2nd with 12 years! Neither of us even has a Phd! I actually skipped over this when I presented the awards as public speaking is not my forte unless I am speaking about some kind of Silicon defect mode, so I owe Jeff a bottle of wine next time.

First time attending a reunion went to Ron Fried, because I made him go and he got a lovely bottle of chardonnay because I know he doesn’t drink wine and I knew he would give it back to me and I love chardonnay. Also attending for the first time was Julia Smith and Mark Hering plus a few others that I can’t remember.

We didn’t have an award for most kids, but, it would have gone to, Pat Barrett who made it to the Friday night ice breaker. At last count Pat has 7 kids. I was only going to award him 1 can of beer, as I thought a whole bottle of wine might make number 8 happen :o) All kidding aside, Pat is a wonderful dad and I know this because he lives near Dave and I and his lovely wife Jeanine is an absolute saint.
